Volunteer Appreciation BBQ and AGM

Thanks everyone for the wonderful ski season. We would like to invite members to attend our Volunteer Appreciation BBQ on Tuesday, June 27 starting at 5 p.m. Awards for our outstanding volunteers will take place at 6:30 p.m., followed by our Annual General Meeting at 7 p.m. Child care will be available starting at 7p.m. We anticipate the AGM will be less than 1 hour – painless!

Upstairs chalet renovations will be completed, so come and see the new look of the ski club while enjoying food and drinks in the sun on the deck.

We are looking for new directors on the board! Please contact ykskiclubpresident@gmail.com if you would like more information before the AGM. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Wax and Wine this Thursday

Come out and Wax and Wine!
Join us to celebrate the start of ski season on Thursday, November 17th from 7-10 p.m. for some waxing and wine-ing at the Yellowknife Ski Club Chalet.

Our High Performance team will be available to expertly wax your skis (for the modest fee of $25 or $20 if you have multiple pairs) while you kick back and enjoy fine food and drinks with other ski enthusiasts. We’ll set the mood at the club with lighting and decor and you can relax and enjoy the evening.

A few special presentations will be made and all members and their guests are welcome. This is intended as an adult event, but babes in arms are welcome.

Snow Show Thank You!

The Yellowknife Ski Club held its kick off event for the season over the weekend and it was a great success. Just over 300 members signed up for early bird registration and we had a great turnout for the Snow Show and ski swap. This annual event not only starts off the ski season for 2016/17, but it’s also a fundraiser for many of our programs.

The board of the Yellowknife Ski Club thanks Events Coordinator Kerry Wheler for her hard work making “The magic” happen. Thank you to the following people who contributed to the Snow Show this year:
