Terrific Trails
The Club offers many trail options for beginner to advanced skiers. The trails are groomed each week and are well marked and designed for one way skiing with enough width for both skating and classic technique.  Some ski trails are lit from dusk to 10pm every evening during the ski season.  Skiers also use unlit trails at night with the use of headlamps or the light of a full moon – parents know just how exciting it is to take youngsters on these nighttime adventures!night skiing at the Club

All trail groomers, also called "'snow farmers", are volunteers.  The trails are groomed and tracks are set every week, except when the temperature is below -30C or -35C or if it has not snowed for a while.  Trail groomers work on their section of the ski trail system from 7-10pm as follows:

  • Mondays - lit trails and Old Tow Hill loop,
  • Wednesdays - biathlon stadium, 0.75 trail and Roadrunner loop,
  • Thursdays - outside loops (first half of the 10 km trail) and stadium
  • Fridays  - 5km trail, and inside connector loops.
By the weekend, the whole trail system is groomed and ready for great skiing!

Avoid following the groomers on freshly renovated trails.  Give the tracks a few hours to "set" before skiing on them.  Otherwise, skiing will leave deep ruts on the renovated surface, and can easily destroy the set tracks.  Use other trails than those being worked on that night.  Thanks!

Check out Trail News rail to get the latest news from our volunteer team of groomers!  The trails also offer excellent summer opportunities for walking, running or mountain biking.
