The Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors (CANSI) is offering a Level 1 Certification course in Yellowknife December 16-18 at the Yellowknife Ski Club. This Friday through Sunday course introduces you to the fundamentals of cross-country skiing. Improve your demonstration skills and learn how to introduce people to the sport.

The CANSI Level 1 course teaches participants how to teach skiing. Participants are expected to be able to diagonal stride, double pole, and complete skate and snowplow turns to a certain standard. By the end of the course, participants will have a general understanding of the key points for each technique. The level 1 course is 16 hours and $100.
