As the ski season draws to a close, we are looking for nominations for the volunteer awards. If you would like to nominate someone, email ykskiclubcommunications@gmail.
com with the nominees name, the award you would like to nominate them for, and a brief reason why you are nominating them. Nominations are due by April 28th!
The Wooden Ski Award -for a long-service member(s) of the club with a tradition of involvement and dedication to the club.
The Double-Poler Award -for an adult volunteer(s) who made a significant contribution to the club in the past year.
The Stellar Snowflake Award -for junior volunteer(s) who made a significant contribution to the club in the past year.
The Herringbone Award -for a business that contributed in-kind services to the club in the past year.

Yk Ski Races success!
Due to Mother Nature, only U14 and older were able to race in the Yk Ski Races today, but a great time was still had by all! Click here for race results!
From a parade ski, to 100m sprints to cookie medals for all racers, everyone enjoyed themselves.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers, without you, there would be no ski races!

The Yellowknife Gold Loppet is a non-race event for skiers of all ages and abilities. Skiers can choose from 4km, 15km and 25km distances, and enjoy homemade chili and bread from Sundog Trading Post at the Yellowknife Ski Club chalet afterwards. The event begins at the Vee Lake boat launch.
