Sunday: 9am – 1pm
Pre-reading will be shared with participants approximately a week before the course. Participants are expected to bring a laptop or other device with the materials downloaded for the classroom portion. For the on-snow portion, you’ll need your skis and warm clothing – and you’ll be required to deliver a 10-15 min technique development session (more information about this will also follow closer to the course date).
In Competition Coaching Introduction (CCI-L2T) coaches develop skills to deliver a well-rounded program for athletes aged 9-12 years old. The emphasis is on skill development within a fun, team-oriented environment that develops a passion for the lifelong health and fitness benefits of cross-country skiing.
On snow workshop: This 16.5-hour in-person workshop is delivered by your Division. Topics include:
-team management
-supporting athletes at a competition
-equipment selection
-ski preparation
-how to effectively teach intermediate-level ski technique
CCI (L2T) dryland workshop is a prerequisite. There are twelve (12) spots available in this course.
