Snow Show 2016

The annual Snow Show at the Yellowknife Ski Club on Saturday, November 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. is your chance to buy early bird memberships, register for programs, get used gear at our ski swap, get your skis waxed, get deals on new equipment, and check out our silent auction and bake sale. Bring the family and kick off the 2016/17 ski season. All welcome – members, new members, non-members! The Snow Show is your last chance for early bird memberships.

Drop off your ski swap gear on Friday, Nov. 4 from 7-9 p.m. at the chalet. 10 % of sales go to the ski club, the rest goes in your pocket. Cash only purchases will happen Saturday during the Snow Show.

Membership Has Its Privileges!

Ski season is coming and it’s time to dig out your old ski equipment and see if the kids have grown out of their gear.

Being a member of the Yellowknife Ski Club comes with a few more perks than just well groomed trails with amazing views. Did you know Overlander Sports offers 10% off ski equipment and accessories to all Yellowknife Ski Club members? This includes skis, boots, bindings, poles, waxes and ski bags. Just tell the salesperson you’re a member when you check out and they’ll check the membership list.

Jackrabbit Coaches Required

We’re gearing up for the 2016/17 ski season and we’re looking for coaches for our Jackrabbit program! The Yellowknife Ski Club, supported by the NWT Ski Division, offers training for our volunteer coaches for free ($80-120 value), to ensure our youth ski programs are a great experience for children. Coaching workshops are part of the National Coaching Certification program (NCCP), which includes courses for 65 sports. Continue reading
